Featuring Kelly Purkey Shop │ May Shop Release

It's so crazy to see that we are days away from June and I feel like I'm so behind. On what I'm not sure but just knowing that its almost June I feel like I'm patting down my life trying to figure out what I have forgotten because clearly I have forgotten something and I can't remember what it was. Ha.

Yesterday was the shop update for Kelly Purkey shop so I wanted to pop on and share the two projects that I made.

The first is a Travelers Notebook spread using a really funny and cute stamp set called You Get Me. I loved the sentiments on this stamp set and paired with the Best Dad Ever stamp set I had fun documenting my love for my favorite guy and the life we live.

I paired the Dad stamp with the previously released Wearing and Loving stamp set to create a couple. I really loved the blue and mustard combo from lasts months kits so I kept it going again this month on this spread.

I loved stamping and then fussy cutting the phrases from the You Get Me stamp set. I made sure to vary the blue ink colors so that it didn't end up looking too flat. The sentiment on the right side of the page made me LOL big time and its so perfect!

My second project was another Travelers Notebook spread using the Hold On main kit, the Highline alpha stamp set and cards from the The Stars Say mini kit.

I really love extracting images from photos and printing them large for my notebooks. I just love how they pop off the page.

The Stars Say mini kit cards were so great, and I just loved the sentiments and the fact that the two I wanted to use were black and white helped make my photo pop even more.

I hope you enjoyed the release. It was a great one and super different from anything I've seen Kelly do which is always awesome. I swear, how does she keep coming up with so many cool ideas?

See you soon,

Featuring Kelly Purkey Shop │ April Release

Hello friends, I'm here today to share the two projects that I made with the Kelly Purkey Shop April release. I told Kelly that this was hands down my favorite release ever! I know that's a bold statement but I loved them, like a lot!! I know there is a lot of pink in the kits this month and I understand that pink is not for everyone, but I love it! And the kits this month paired so perfectly with the photos I had for a recent outing that I had a giant smile on my face the entire time I was making these pages.

The first project I made is a small 3x8" mini album for our day at the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco. I won't go into too much detail about each page because as soon as its all done I plan to do a walk through video and I'll share all of the details with you then. To complete this portion of the album I used the Good Things main kit, the 100% Travelers Notebook kit, the Head in the Clouds Mini kit, the Do Your Thing stamp set, and the Best Mom Ever stamp set.

We had the best time at the two museums we went too and documenting it in this size and with these kits from Kelly was so much fun. The album I used for this project is from Ali Edwards and its meant to be a true 3x8" but the album was wide enough for me to add in the Travelers Notebook papers from the 100% Fun kit. I just trimmed them down to 4" wide and it works fine, it comes right to the edge but doesn't stick out when the album is closed. I really love how the mix of full photos and pages looks with the divided pockets. Especially since you can see thru the margins of the pocket pages.

The film strip pages were so much fun to fill in!!

My second project was a Travelers Notebook spread using the bonus TN Kit called Rest and Relax. It was designed by Tina Aszmus of LifeLovePaper and it is stunning. The leaf stamps were my favorite and I know I'll use them a lot in the summer months.

I really loved the mustard yellow and blue color combo and added in a blue card that was in the Good Things main kit. I loved how these two colors look together and need to use this combo more. In the image below you can see the sticker sheets that come in this months kits. There was a sticker sheet in the 100% Travelers Notebook kit and I think I used almost all of them this month. I really love these stickers.

I hope you loved this release and I hope you have a lot of fun creating this month!

See you soon,
